Andrew M. Belis, DPM, FACFAS, FASPS

Biography

Dr. Andrew M. Belis, DPM, FACFAS, FASPS, is a double board-certified surgeon who treats all types of foot and ankle conditions in both the adult and adolescent population.

He is a pioneer in his field and specializes in ankle arthroscopy and arthroscopic procedures, minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery (such as Achilles tendon repair, bunion, and digital deformity correction), and custom total ankle replacement.

He is a national educator and lectures around the country to both podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons, teaching cutting edge surgical techniques and bone healing technology advancements. Dr. Belis is the fellowship director of the ‘Foot & Ankle Surgical Fellowship’ at the Orthopedic Center of Florida in Fort Myers and has authored several papers in his profession.

Dr. Belis was born and raised in Hicksville (Long Island), New York and  completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from Boston University prior to attending medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn NY, and then obtained extensive surgical training at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Belis came to the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area in 2002 with his wife and has since had three wonderful children. He enjoys pickleball, golf, boating, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Belis takes the time to provide personal and quality care to all of his patients. Like all the physicians at the Orthopedic Center of Florida, Dr. Belis works hard to keep his patients active and back on their feet!
