Dr. Belis is Board Certified Podiatrist who performs foot and ankle surgery and manages complex conditions in the lower extremity. Not only is he Board Certified in Foot Surgery but is one of the few podiatrists in the country who is also Board Certified in Reconstruction Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Andrew M. Belis was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from Boston University prior to attending medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia where he earned his doctorate of podiatric medicine. He then completed his internship at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, in Brooklyn as well as an extensive surgical fellowship at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Maryland.
He has complex surgical training and experience ranging from diabetic foot care to surgical reconstruction of complex deformities.
Dr. Belis is involved with education of his peers and is a national speaker and consultant to orthopedic and podiatric surgeons from around the country. He is a pioneer of new techniques for minimal invasive arthroscopic ankle ligament repair, less invasive bunion correction, as well as plantar plate (ball of foot) ligament repair.
He provides personal, quality care to patients of all ages, including children. Like all the physicians at Orthopedic Center of Florida, Dr. Belis works hard to keep his patients active... and back on their feet!
